Raising Funding

To assess intial interest in and viability of a deal we carry out the same triage process as investors themselves.  They are: 
  • Triage 1: If your executive summary fails to clearly convey what, where and who you are, and when and why you’re going to do what you say you are going to do, you will have failed the first test. 
  • Triage 2: If it also omits to include a summary of past earnings (where appropriate) and three to five years forecast turnover and profit, or some other statement of ROI, you will have failed the second test.
  • Triage 3: If you pass the first two tests and then omit to summarise your management team (or company) or we feel that, from what you have presented, investors will believe your management is incapable of delivering what you present in your executive summary, you will have failed the third test.
Your executive summary is pivotal to initiating interest in your proposition.  This process, and the rules that go with them apply across all markets and currencies from start-ups to 1bn+ property developments.  It is therefore essential that you give time and thought assembling your executive summary if you are going to make an impression on prospective funders.
